First Christmas!

Today was your very first Christmas! You are very blessed to have so many people that love you around! You received so many gifts. You loved all of them but I think you enjoyed the sound of paper ripping more than some of the toys hehe

10 month birthday

Dear Babycakes,
Today you turned 10 months! Wow! You are such a big girl. You have brought so much joy to your dad and I. Like every other month you have reached new milestones. You can stand on your own now and you're able to balance yourself. You love pretending to be on the phone. And you love food! Your favorite foods are papaya and guayaba. You're still being breastfed and I don't think you're ready to give that up anytime soon lol

You have become quite the tantrum queen! Oh and before I forget we took you on your first road trip ever. To Vegas of course! You did GREAT!

You're still not sleeping through the night and your vocabulary hasn't grown much. You say papa, mama and baby.

Momma loves you to the moon and back!!! Can't wait to see what's in store this coming month!

9 month birthday

Dear Gianna,

My beautiful baby girl! I'm sorry i didn't write this entry on the day of your 9 month birthday but you've been sick and my number one priority is YOU! Oh my how time flies! i feel like i just had a new born not so long ago and now your this little ball of energy. You had your 9 month check-up up a few days ago and here are your stats:

Weight 20lbs (75th percentile)

Height 29inches (95th percentile)

You're a big girl! tall and strong! You have reached so many milestones this past month. You can stand on your own now. you walk EVERYWHERE when we put you in your walker. You LOVE to jump in your crib. Your favorite show is RAGGS and you get so excited when you hear the theme song. You're still not sleeping through the night :-/ but you're getting much better at it.

3 more month for the big 1!!!! your momma is already getting things together for that.... I love you oh so much baby! you completed me and made me such a better person!

First Halloween

My chubby little butterfly! Yesterday was your very first Halloween. If you only knew how much thought you dad and I put into your costume you'd think we were crazy! After weeks of searching we finally agreed on a butterfly! You looked beautiful as always. You got so many compliments. You didn't seem to mind. We took you to Tio Lik and Angies new home and then around the block trick or treating. You're such a curious little one. You love people watching. You weren't scared at all. In fact you loved playing with scary looking mummy outside the house! I'm looking forward to more halloweens with you. Dressing you up was so much fun!

8 month birthday and 2 year wedding anniversary!

My little pumpkin butt,
Sorry I'm 2 days late but I want to wish you a very happy 8 month birthday. It just so happened to fall on the same day as your daddy and i's 2 year wedding anniversary. I was sick as a dog these past 2 days. Unfortunately we couldn't celebrate because I felt that bad.

Anywho, enough about me! This past month you have amazed me even more. You got the hang of standing up on your own when I put you in your crib. You're new word is "ma'pa". Not sure what that means. You love screaming and playing peek a boo. You wave bye now as well. This past Saturday we took you to see the endeavour space shuttle at the forum. Your daddy wanted you to see it because it was kind of a big deal. A big ol space ship that went through the streets of l.a. For 3 days! You however were more interested in people watching than you were in the shuttle lol we also took you to your first pumpkin patch. You weren't too trilled about that experience lol

What else can I tell you? You still don't sleep through the night :-/ your momma has become a coffee addict because of it. Hoping your sleeping habits improve!

I have so many things to look forward to this month. Your first Halloween and your 2nd professional photo shoot! Let's hope you're in a good mood :-)

If there's one thing I love about having a little girl it's that I get to play dress up with you! You have one of the best wardrobes I've ever seen baby g! I promise you'll always be well dressed ;-)

Sometimes......

I hate being a working mom :-/ spending 10 hours away from you Monday through Friday is something I wish I didn't have to do. I miss you so much and it sucks because you're never going to be this little ever again. If only I were rich!

Today you started crawling and I wasnt there. Other people witness your milestones before me and it breaks my heart that I have to hear it from them. Just know that if I could baby G I wouldn't choose to work but I have to in order to make ends meet. Your dad can't do it on his own. At least not now. I love you regardless. More than you'll ever know!

7 months young!

My dearest baby G,

This past Saturday marked your 7 month birthday! You have grown soooooo much! At your 6 month check up you weighed 18lbs! I'm pretty sure you've surpassed that by now. You are outgrowing all of your 9 month clothes quite fast and you have reached so many new milestones. You say pa'pa now. You wave your little hand when you want something. You clap and play "pon, pon". You're a pro at rolling over and sitting up and you almost have the hang of the whole crawling thing. You can also stand up when I put you in your crib.

Youve been introduced to solids and enjoy eating everything! Unfortunately you have gotten sick 2 times in the past month and a half :-/ it breaks my heart. If I could trade places and make you feel better I would in a heart beat. Taking you to your doctors appointment later on today.

First word

Today marked a very special milestone.... You said your first word. And it wasn't momma it was pa'pa. Clear as daylight. You keep saying it over and over again and it makes my heart melt. I love you so much baby! Hope you say momma soon ;-) no pressure though

Happy half birthday baby G!!!!

Dearest Baby G,

Today marks your half birthday! 6 months! Wow! Where did time go? It feels like just yesterday you were just a tiny little bean inside my tummy. You've reached so many milestones thus far and I've had a front row seat :-) From smiling to laughing out loud to rolling over to sitting up. Your new thing now is throwing yourself at me when you see me get home from work! That's my favorite! Makes me feel like you've missed me just as much as I've missed you all day.

I really can't believe how fast time has gone by. I wish it would slow down so I could enjoy and savor every single minute of you being this small! I love you more than words could ever say! I know I say this all the time but I really do! Always remember that baby cakes! Momma loves you more than anything and anyone in the world! I wish you many many many more half birthdays and full birthdays to come.

words fail me.....

My dearest Baby G, yesterday your momma had a rough night. One of my friends passed away. i still can't believe it. she was young and so full of life. The most genuine person i've ever met!  I had just seen her a day before. I hugged her. I asked her how she was and she said she was good. she asked me about you and before i left she looked at me and gave me the most peaceful smile i've ever seen on her. i keep seeing her face when i close my eyes. i keep seeing that smile and all i can think (as weird as it sounds) is that she was ready to go. Her smile was different than any other day. i cried myself to sleep and i woke up with tears in my eyes. I cried driving to work and i've been crying on a off for the past few hours. it seems unreal.Want to know something. Yesterday after i found out, i went to my room and I cried while your dad stayed with you in the living room. i could hear you and your baby talk. i could hear your laugh. when I came outside your dad went over to me and had you in his arms. And while i was crying you reached out and touched my face and the tears running down my cheeks with your little hand. And amidst the sadness i felt you managed to make me smile. thank you! Momma loves you with ALL her heart!

Freaking out!

If there's one thing that freaks me out MORE than anything in the world is calling someone numerous times and them not answering or calling me back! I always think the worst! Today I had my 1st freak out with you baby g. Called and called your gma at least 10 times in 3 hours. I tried calling her house, her cell phone. Tried calling from different phones thinking maybe my phone wasn't working and nothing. You know that feeling you get when you want to hold in your tears so hard but you're about to loose it? That's how I felt. Finally I called your dad and he tracked her down. Turns out her phone wasn't working. I was just about to call in an amber alert. Horrible feeling! Can't even think straight right now :-(

My first birthday as a mom

Yesterday I celebrated my first birthday as a mom. Last year on my birthday i was around 9 weeks pregnant. You were the size of a grape inside my tummy. Look at you now! such a big girl. It was by far one of the best birthdays i've had! Because i got to spend it with you Baby G. We napped all day, visited my co-workers who all thought you were beautiful and finally your daddy took us to dinner. Being your mom is the best birthday gift i could ever ask for! I love you to the moon and back and more!
